Tamilnadu rural students can go Global with good english – says Suresh Sambandam
DreamDaa, a Chennai-based start-up striving to bridge the spoken English language gap in Tamil Nadu, has announced its partnership with Sri Shanmugha Educational Institutions, Salem. Through this partnership, 1,000 students will undergo a year-long (two semesters) rigorous, AI based spoken English language training.
DreamDaa was launched in 2021, with the aim of providing students across Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities and towns to gain access to spoken English. An AI based learning platform, DreamDaa’s programs help students become more fluent with the English language thus providing them with a similar competitive edge as those educated in English medium institutions. Dreamdaa was incubated and launched under the “Idea Pattarai” initiative of Dream TamilNadu Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation.
The main aim behind Dreamdaa’s college collaboration efforts is to help students ace job interviews with confidence thus giving them the chance to aspire to career growth at such a young age.
Suresh Sambandam, CEO – Kissflow and Mentor of Dreamdaa said, “DreamDaa aims to empower students to get more confident with spoken English – thus providing them with a skill that can help them explore job prospects across global markets. We believe in the power of equal opportunities and hope to train at least 1,00,000 students in two years.”
Sivakumar Sadayappan, Founder & CEO of iSource and board of directors of DreamDaa said “Practicing English using the DreamDaa app in specially designed labs removes the stigma and fear in our social setup. It is a dream come an alive moment for 1000s of students we witnessed in the last 6 months.”
This is Dreamdaa’s second college partnership; the first being with Einstein Engineering College in Tirunelveli.
